In Navaisha, Kenya, we formulated pig feed replacing the fishmeal content of conventional pig feeds with black soldier fly larval meal. This feed was fed to growing-finishing pigs to assess their growth and health performance.

At market size, pigs were slaughtered to assess  the effect of insect-based feed on their carcass and nutritional quality.
